Defending
freedom: yesterday, today and tomorrow. The mission
of Naval Air Station Oceana has changed little in
the last 50 years. Whether it’s home or abroad,
the U.S. Navy stands ready to deliver U.S. diplomacy
whenever and wherever it’s needed with its
aircraft carriers, air wings and battle groups.
The
men and women of NAS Oceana invite you to celebrate
the 50th anniversary of the master jet base and experience
a taste of Fighter Country, USA at our annual air
show September 20-22, 2002.
As
winner of the International Council of Air Show’s
Dick Schram Award (1998, 2000), we promise to deliver
world-class family entertainment. More importantly,
